Launchbar — A killer application

I just found out about Launchbar, and I am completely blown away. As described on their website:

LaunchBar is an award winning productivity utility that offers an amazingly intuitive and efficient way to control your computer. It provides instant access to thousands of documents, folders, bookmarks and email addresses, applications and preference panes just by entering short abbreviations of the searched item’s name.

I find that it already eliminates the need to actually launch applications. I can see a person’s phone number right in the Launchbar menu, without having to open address book.

    LaunchBar
I was commenting in a thread at jogin.com in a thread about the author’s recent move from Windows to the Mac. The application: LaunchBar was mentioned more than once so I thought I’d give it a go. Wow, it’s quite a spectacular application that will…

I just got LaunchBar too. I’m not surprised to see how many glowing reactions I’ve found to this sofware. For me, it’s Apple’s searchlight technlogy several months early. Too bad this great app won’t be as well-recognized when Tiger is released with the same technology next year.
