This site is a “dumping ground” for all topics, ideas, tools, and resources that interest me. I am also using it to showcase any programming that I have in development.

Me

I’m a successful adult with a severe physical disability: cerebral palsy. My success comes from having a passionate drive to be independent which is supported by my use of technology. I use a variety of tools, including computers. Without technology I could not express my ideas in any permanent form because I cannot write by hand. At a more basic level I would not have mobility without my power wheelchair. Being mobile and having a means of expression have given me opportunities that result in learning, growth, and a rich, independent life.

I’m 30-something years old and live in Boston, Massachusetts. I’ve been here for about 8 years, just after graduating from University of California, Berkeley. I never expected to be back in New England for this long — I am originally from Orange, Connecticut.

In early January of 2000, I left my position as Access Technology Support Specialist at CAST (Center for Applied Special Technology) to consult with halftheplanet.com. When I left Halftheplanet in September I was the Vice President of Site Operations. (but, you remember how meaningful titles were at dotcoms.) While at CAST, I was involved in many projects, including being on the original design and development team for Bobby.
